Completed in 1857, the Yan Yean Water Supply System remains one of the oldest functioning water systems in Australia.
An engineering marvel, it is a rare example of an early continually operating water system augmenting the natural water course of the Plenty River and serving as a repository of drinking water for Melbourne. Join us on a tour to learn about its historical and cultural significance and future challenges in managing the heritage values of this early water supply.
Lunch, morning and afternoon tea are included.
